UDT CODE
We, as UDT instructors, conduct ourselves by the teachings of the Buddha “Sathisampachanya” “ To Protect those who live justly” to protect those who are morally right and fair. At the level of the individual and the society, the teachings deal with the relations between ourselves and our fellow beings, an attitude of oneself towards others, and the social ethics of egoism and altruism. The essence of this teaching lies in these two sentences “Protecting oneself, one protects others.(Attanam rakkhanto param rakkhati.)” “Protecting others, one protects oneself. (Param rakkhanto attanam rakkhati.)”. UDT courses and programs' core foundation are based on self-protection. One has to be able to acquire the right ethical mindset, mindfulness, patience, self-control, and survival defense skills. Caution and circumspection in all our doings and movement will protect others from the harm that may come to them through our carelessness and negligence. In protecting oneself, others are protected; In protecting others, oneself is protected.
